System consists of a Central Library which support the teaching, research and extension Programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities. The Library is having a huge collection of books on engineering, science, humanities and Business administration.

Library Computerization

The Library uses Library Management software package that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Library Management software package consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. The Library Management software package has been successfully implemented.


The Library subscribes to current e-journals. The Library has a rich collection of books on science and technology including chemistry, mathematics, physics, civil engineering, computer science, electrical and electronics engineering. Besides, Library also has a good collection in the areas of humanities and business administration.

Layout & Floors Plan

The Central library is located in the main building of the Institute. The Library has its entrance from the first floor and second floor. The floor-wise arrangement of the Library is as follows

Ground Floor

It has an area of 1500 square feet for circulation section of the library. More than 15,000 books are available in the circulation section for issue return process.

First Floor

The office of the Librarian is located on the first floor of the Library.It also has small section for usage of internet in the library. The reference section has its own entrance at the second floor which stacks books on engineering, management, Journals, Magazines and Faculty Publication. This section has an area of 750 square feet. The reading tables are provided along with journal and magazine rack.


In addition to having a well equipped library, the Institute has a rich support of Book Bank with 6669 books exclusively for students. Under this facility every student gets every semester six books by different authors for his/her personal use. At the beginning of new semester the old books are to be returned and new set of next curriculum books are issued.

Browsing Rooms/Web Centric Learning

The Library reading/browsing rooms provide the students conducive environment of having self-learning sessions. Our digital library has a very impressive collection of digital material e.g., CBTs, and distant learning aids. We have a broad band VSAT connection in the Digital Library, which provides students with the opportunity of Web Based learning.

Core Syllabi and Monitoring of Academics

The BMCTM is affiliated to MD University Rohtak. All Engineering courses are in accordance with the University approved curriculum. The students’ performance is monitored as per the University charter. In addition the BMCTM has fixed the following monitoring points:

  • The academic performance of students is monitored on a regular basis by conducting scheduled sessionals/class tests and quizzes.
  • The answer sheets are evaluated and performance Reported to students within 3 working days.
  • In case of poor performance the parents are informed according.
  • Additional/remedial classes are arranged for the weak students.
  • Once in every four weeks the attendance of students is monitored. The cases of poor attendance are investigated by the Dean (Academics) and feed back in such cases as mentioned is taken by the concerned Head of the Department. Suitable remedial measures including parents being informed are taken by the Director.

Computerized Attendance

Computerized Attendance has been introduced in order to keep a regular and more methodical track of students’ attendance record and their regularity in the course.
